What you’ll do at Ather:   

• Effective implementation and monitoring of EHS policy & systems for plants, vendors, service providers and contractors. 

• Review project designs, operations, processes, Approval of plant layouts, Fire NOC, BCC etc.

• Centrally budgeting for EHS & Fire Projects- Execution and evaluation and monitoring.

• Introduce accident & incident reduction / prevention programs

• Vendors safety management implementation and monitoring.

• Review and develop improvement programs to reduce risks in operations.

• Provide communication and awareness of all health and safety issues through EHS trainings & EHS Newsletters.

• Assisting production, designing and execution team for preparing FMEA, HIRAC, SOP’s.

• Renewal Fire NOC, Building Stability Certificate, Petroleum licenses  

• Organizing training in the areas of Environment, Health and Safety.

• To undertake Safety inspections and report on results and fixing CAPA to avoid recurrences.

• Prepare, develop and implement an emergency preparedness plan.  

• Investigation of Accidents and near-misses and preparing reports of findings,   Including recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement approved course of action

• Organizing and leading Safety committee meetings, periodic contractor meets to solve work interfaces related to EHS.

• Design and installation advance fire protection and prevention facilities as per NBC 2016, NFPA and TAC.

• Ensure compliance of applicable legal requirements.

• conduct external fire risk assessment, Safety Audits as per statutory requirement.

• Cross functional Responsibility

  • Develop FMEA for hazardous processes, HAZOP Study, Design Operations and processes

  • Participate in swimlane to ensure safety of manufacturing facility 

  • Involve Shop manager to Inspect work areas for safety compliance

  • Safety Facility readiness at Hosur factory

  • Conduct EHS Inspections and cross functional Audits, Centrally

  • Ensuring Safety skill level as per benchmarking.

  • Technically support to Li Ion battery storage & handling projects & safety IOT projects

• Technical expertise in understanding manufacturing process

• Expert in Internal Safety auditing & Behavior Based Safety

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001(IMS) 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 

• Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure 

• Develop & Mentor safety captains in shop floor

You bring to Ather:

• Bachelor / Master’s degree from reputed college & with post graduation in Industrial safety 

• 6 to 8  years of relevant functional experience 

• Experience in industries such as Automobile, Mass production or other related manufacturing industries
