- The lineup has four consumer-targeted two-wheelers comprising two scooters and two motorcycles.
- All two-wheelers will follow the norms stated in the Swappable Battery Consortium that Honda signed earlier this year with KTM, Piaggio and Yamaha.
- Since India is a huge scooter market for Honda, we could see its electric scooters here.
Not long ago, Honda had joined hands with KTM, Piaggio (that includes all of its brands like Vespa and Aprilia), and Yamaha to form a Swappable Battery Consortium. These batteries would be used in their future light electric vehicles like mopeds, motorcycles, and tricycles (more deets here). Following this, Honda has now announced that it plans to launch as many as four electric two-wheelers by 2024, all abiding to the consortium’s norms.
