Complaint Description:

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the non-disbursement of the EV subsidy promised at the time of purchase. I purchased a Bajaj Chetak EV (Model 2433 – Premium) on 12.05.2024 from the Chetak Experience Centre, Connaught Place, New Delhi. At the time of purchase, I was assured by the dealer that the government subsidy would be deposited into my account within three months. However, upon further inquiry at Chetak Experience Centre – Bagga Link, the main distributor, I was informed that no subsidies have been disbursed to customers in 2023 and 2024. This indicates that the dealership was already aware of the situation, yet still chose to provide misleading assurances at the point of sale. Whenever I follow up regarding the subsidy, I am repeatedly told that the "site is not working," and hence, they are unable to file the subsidy application. This ongoing excuse, along with the prior knowledge of non-disbursal, strongly suggests a fraudulent practice where customers are deliberately misled to influence purchase decisions. I believe this reflects a serious lapse in business ethics and consumer trust by the concerned dealership and, by extension, Bajaj Auto. I request the following: A clear and official status update on my subsidy application. Immediate action to process the subsidy or an alternative resolution. Compensation or refund of the promised subsidy amount, if the scheme is indeed inactive.
