WHAT YOU’LL DO AT ATHER:
Unlock the voice of users and decode their minds to drive a shared understanding of user needs, wants and desires for key teams involved in the development, design, and engineering of products and features.
Develop well-crafted research plans with clear research objectives and hypotheses based on user data and secondary sources and build research tools required for the same [screeners, discussion guides, moodboards, diaries] in collaboration with peers in other design, engineering and product management teams
Drive execution of research projects, including but not limited to contextual enquiry, usability research, diagnostics, and validation studies for both physical and virtual products in rapid iterative manner
Recruit targeted end-users for specific research studies and moderate usability sessions, discussions, or manage moderators
Translate user insights into actionable recommendations for the relevant development/design or product teams. Conduct stakeholder workshops and debriefing sessions to ensure easy consumption and usage of insights
Contribute to building the product and feature building strategy with strong understanding of user profile, needs, and expectations
HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process
2-3 years experience with research design utilizing various methods including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, heuristics Evaluation, prototype evaluations, user journey analysis, A/B Testing asurveys.
At least 1 year of product research experience, either in an product development/ usability, user experience of physical or virtual products
Experience with user research tools like Tracking Tools (Firebase, Google Analytics, hotjar, lookback), Prototyping and UX evaluation tools( invision/ figma), User data tools (Apptentive, Gainsight)
Has conceptual and practical knowledge of consumer behaviour principles, design principles & best practices and accessibility guidelines

You have a keen interest in examining information and providing insights from it
You work well in cross-functional teams and can cope with the changes that a dynamic and evolving organisation goes through
You uphold and follow ethical research practices
A graduate degree in cognitive sciences/ social sciences/ design/ HMI/HCI or Computer Applications
Any valued certifications can be considered in lieu of the above graduate degree [Eg: HFI, Nielsen Norman, Other reputed MOOCs]
